The M5 Oberndorf are manufactured to fit the same M5 stock inlet as the DBM’s. They are CNC machined from 6061 Billet Aluminum and designed for use with Wyatt’s extended length box magazines. This is the premier floorplate bottom metal on the market today.

The  M5 Oberndorf bottom metals offer top-tier performance in a design that fits a standard M5 inlet. Born from the trusted Oberndorf bottom metal, this version keeps the same reliability and strength but adds the flexibility to drop into your M5 inletted hunting stock with ease.

CNC machined to exact tolerances, it’s lightweight yet incredibly durable. It’s also fully compatible with Wyatt-length box magazines, giving you more room for longer cartridges. The thicker floor-plate reduces spring pressure, improving reliability—especially when loading three Ultra Mag cartridges.

Hawkins also includes a reversible, adjustable mag/floorplate catch, allowing you to fine-tune fit and function. Whether you’re chasing big game or building a custom precision rifle, this bottom metal delivers smooth feeding and rock-solid performance.

It’s available for Remington 700 and clone actions in both short and long action. You can also order it as a kit with action screws and a follower.
